Knowing which players perform well against a lefty pitcher, or on a home stand, or in a pitcher’s park, is critical to making quality daily fantasy decisions. Consider Stacking Against These 3 Pitchers in the American League East
Stacking is a key strategy in DFS. Finding and stacking a lineup that looks poised to put up big numbers is a great way to win some money. But there’s another side to stacking that often gets overlooked. Have a look at some of the pitchers you should look to stack against in DFS this season.
C.C. Sabathia, New York Yankees – The best days are in the rear view for the former Cy Young Award winner. Sabathia figures to be the Yanks’ fifth starter this season and is definitely one to stack against, especially in the homer heaven that is Yankee Stadium. Last year, the hulking lefty finished with the worst HR/9 of any pitcher in the American League.

R.A. Dickey, Toronto Blue Jays – The knuckleball giveth, and the knuckleball taketh. Sometimes Dickey will have it, and that’s no fun for hitters. But should Dickey’s knuckler be off, you’re going to wish you stacked against him. Last season Dickey took some big time lumps and ended up with one of the worst FIPs in the entire league last year. Dickey will always give up home runs and pitching in the AL East won’t help.
Rick Porcello, Boston Red Sox – Porcello also had trouble keeping hitters in the ballpark in 2015. The New Jersey native gave up 25 dingers in 28 starts for Boston last season and posted an ERA just a tick under 5. Porcello’s got a tough task pitching against teams like Baltimore, Toronto, and New York multiple times. He also has to deal with pitching at Fenway Park, a park that sees a lot of offense, for half of his starts.
