3 Rookie Wide Receivers Who Will Be Immediate DFS Difference-Makers

Henry Ruggs III – Las Vegas Raiders

Did this draft selection surprise anyone? The Las Vegas Raiders have been obsessed with speedy wide outs for some time now. Henry Ruggs III posted a 4.27 40-yard dash with a freakish 42 inch vertical leap. This kid is athletic!

With minimal weapons at the position, Ruggs III will be instant production. Tyrell Williams, Nelson Agholor, Hunter Renfrow, and Zay Jones are some names that Ruggs is competing with for snaps, so he should jump to the top of the depth chart right away. The Raiders needed to give Derek Carr a real weapon after the Antonio Brown experiment failed. Look for Ruggs to get involved with some rushing attempts and screen plays with that blazing speed.

After disappointing fans last year with their performance the Raiders will need to step it up in their first year as the Las Vegas Raiders. More weapons for the offense should be helpful and the Raiders over under bets should be interesting to watch. Keep your eye on the Las Vegas Raiders win total line when the people who make NFL picks in Vegas release it. This team could be a good opportunity to win some money.

CeeDee Lamb – Dallas Cowboys

CeeDee Lamb was the third wide out taken in the 2020 NFL draft. Widely considered the most complete package at the position, Lamb will look to make a splash early on. With Randall Cobb and Jason Witten gone, the targets should be there even with Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup in the picture.

With solid speed and the ability to line up wide or in the slot, the Dallas Cowboys and Mike McCarthy should have no issues scheming touches for Lamb. He piled up 15 touchdowns over 13 games in his final season at Oklahoma and averaged a massive 21.4 yards per catch. Jerry Jones didn’t draft him that early to ride the bench, that’s for sure.

In terms of the Cowboys betting outlook for next season the most value may be in their NFL money line bets. The Cowboys will most likely be favored in many of their games this season, but the real question will be how often can they cover the spread. Their offense is much improved but their defense still has some glaring issues. Putting bets down on the money line could be the smartest option.

Jerry Jeudy – Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos now have a legitimate number-two to go beside Courtland Sutton. John Elway and the team decided that taking Jerry Jeudy with their top pick was a terrific way to replace Emmanuel Sanders. There’s very little competition for snaps, so Jeudy should be slotted into the starting lineup immediately.

Jeudy’s supreme route running is something to take note of. Sutton may be the preferred wide out in the red zone, but Jeudy will draw the least attention in an offense that will feature Melvin Gordon. Drew Lock will be happy to have a new toy. The Alabama product accounted for 77 receptions in his final season, good for third-most in the SEC.

The Broncos greatly improved their offense this offseason but didn’t do much on the other side of the ball. It will be interesting to see how these new weapons will impact not only daily fantasy scores but also will they be good enough to move a few NFL point spreads a point or two.
